BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES This position is located in the Fitness Centers within the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department. Checks I.D. cards to ensure only authorized personnel utilize the equipment and facility. Provides general information about the facility. Ensures patrons are following established policies and procedures. Responsible for issuing equipment and towels to patrons. Inspects area for general condition, safety hazards or for routine maintenance needs. Follows proper cash handling procedures. Opens and/or closes the facility according to established procedures. Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of cleanliness and appearance. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
? Practical knowledge of one or more recreation activities
? Ability to work effectively with others
? Ability to perform routine program and administrative tasks
? Able to handle cash and perform mathematical calculations
? Possess a valid CPR and First Aid Card or be able to obtain one within 31 days of employment
? Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English
? Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
