Vehicle Storage

Naval Base San Diego MWR Vehicle Storage offers convenient, inexpensive, safe storage for vehicles to all MWR eligible patrons. We have 5 vehicle storage lots designated for regular vehicles and 1 lot designated for RVs, boats, campers, and trailers.

Vehicle Storage: 8 am-3 pm

 

In order to store your vehicle(s) with us, you must provide the following documents at the time of your application:

 

o Military ID

o Current registration

o Current insurance

o SPOA (Special Power of Attorney) if the vehicle being stored is registered under a different owner other than the person filling out the storage contract.

o Deployment Letter (Command Deployment Letter for servicemembers going on ship’s deployment) 

• Deployment Letter must contain the servicemember’s name
• Deployment rate is only for ships homeported in San Diego with a deployment of more than 90 consecutive days

 

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP HOURS: MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8 AM – 3 PM

Standard vehicle storage: $65/month
Deployed service members: $40/month**

* No pick-ups or drop-offs accepted after 3 pm. Cutoff for same-day contract signing (incl. drop-off) is 1 pm.

** Discounted price only valid for 1 vehicle for SHIPS HOMEPORTED IN NBSD
and for qualified ship deployments. Must bring command deployment letter made
out to NBSD MWR, and letter must include deploying Sailor's name. Due to high volume of deploying servicemembers, it is highly recommended to contract at least 3 business days prior to deployment.
 

Only road-worthy vehicles are accepted. Vehicles must be able to drive into the lot and into the assigned space (exemption: trailers, boats, enclosed trailers, campers with no engine)  

Registration/Planned Non-Op and insurance for vehicles MUST remain current throughout the entire duration it is stored with MWR Vehicle Storage.

Non-Operational/Planned Non-Operational Certificate MUST be renewed every year to ensure the license plate number assigned to the vehicle stays active.
