Auto Skills Center

The Auto Skills Center at Naval Base San Diego is the largest facility of its kind in the world, offering more than 144 bays, 24 lifts, an on-site auto parts store, a fully stocked tool room, a tire center, brake lathes, bead blaster, pressure washer, bearing presses, and more.

This do-it-yourself automotive repair facility allows customers of all experience levels—from beginners to seasoned mechanics—to perform maintenance and repairs on their personal vehicles. Whether you're completing routine service, tackling major repairs, or restoring a classic, we provide the space, tools, and support you need.

Training & Support

MWR’s Automotive Skills Program offers monthly minor-maintenance classes, a modern working environment with individual bays, state-of-the-art mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment, and access to ALLDATA, the industry’s leading source for OEM repair information. Our trained staff is available to guide you and help you work safely and confidently.
