Command Function Rates for Recreation Center activities.
Unit Recreation Funds
The Unit Recreational Fund (URF) is a CNIC-wide program established to enhance unit cohesion and readiness. Participating units will use local MWR facilities, products, and services to the maximum extent practicable. Each service member assigned /attached to a shore command within the jurisdiction of a host installation is eligible for a credit up to $25 per year.

Party Rentals
If Directorate is hosting their Command Recreation Party on base and has contracted with NBSD Food and Beverage department for catering, NMC Party Rentals will provide a non - approved free command event piece of equipment. Options: the audio system or popcorn machine.
- If a sole Department is planning to host their URF Party, NMC Party Rentals will provide a free popcorn machine with an equipment order of over $100.

URF Account Details
A Designation letter, Request memo, and Letter of Intent (to establish an MWR Account) are all required to be on command letterhead. Letter of Intent is only required if your command has not already established an MWR Account. On-board counts should accurately reflect the Alpha roster submitted. Alpha rosters are required to be submitted in EXCEL format, with Rank/Rate, first name, last name.

Other Details
Commands are prohibited from maintaining a separate bank account. All URF fund accounts are required to be part of the MWR Central Fund. URF is calculated at $25 per active duty member per year (thus, $6.25 per sailor, per quarter). Individuals deployed away from the command for 30 days or more cannot be included in the request, and individuals must be a part of the command for 30 days to be included in the request.
Items Prohibited for Purchase
- Prizes, door prizes, raffle items, and anything with intrinsic value.
- Childcare Services
- Purchase of recreational equipment items that are available to rent from local MWR outlet at no charge or a discounted rate.
- Ships, with or without ship’s stores, home ported or attached to an installation are not entitled to be participating units of the local MWR fund ashore.
