This event is open to active duty service members, reservists, veterans, retirees, DoD civilians, their families and other MWR eligible patrons.

About Operation MWR

Throughout the summer, Navy MWR’s Community Recreation and Navy Entertainment programs will celebrate the resiliency of our military service members and their families, foster a sense of community, and provide an opportunity to connect with friends and others for a day of entertainment, rest and relaxation. Events will include live entertainment, recreational activities, food, games, and more!

General

What if it rains?
Rain or shine, we will be out there so please join us no matter the weather.

Will I be included in any marketing materials?
Yes. Photos and videos taken at this event are likely to be used in future marketing campaigns and materials.

Who will be performing at the concert?
weezer and Breland

Is registration required?
Concert registration is not required to attend the event but your registration allow us to plan accordingly.
 

Base Access and Parking

Which gates will be open?
Gate 32 (Corner of Yama and Main) and Gate 42 (off of 32nd St) will be both open to inbound and outbound traffic.

What time will gates be open?
Gate 32 (Corner of Yama and Main) will be open at 5:30 pm and Gate 42 (off of 32nd St) will be open like normal (24/7)

Who is allowed to come to the event?
The event is open to ALL military ID card holders and their guests.

What can I bring on base?
Please use common sense when you drive onto a military installation and leave everything at home, except what you need. See Prohibited items list below.

Where do we park for this event?
The best place to park is on McCandles Ave. There is lots of street parking and parking lots available. A lot of the military office buildings are closed on the weekends so you can park there as well. We expect this concert to be very busy so you may need to walk a little bit. There will be road closures where the event is
taking place.

Is there a rideshare pick-up and drop-off location?
Yes. Rideshare pick-up and drop-off will be outside of Gate 32 (Yama St & Main St.) in the Anchor’s Catering and Conference’s parking lot.

Can I park on base?
Yes, the base has a limited number of parking spaces and will allow the public to park on base until we reach capacity.

I parked far away. Is there a shuttle to the venue?
Yes. There are several shuttle stops around the base. Please reference the shuttle route map for details and locations. Download here.
 
Can I take public transportation to the concert?
Yes. The nearest MTS bus stop is at Main and Yama (#929). The nearest MTS trolley stop is Pacific Fleet.

Food and Beverages

Can I bring food and drinks to the concert?
Outside food and beverages are not allowed at the venue. No containers of any kind are allowed.

Will alcohol be allowed?
No alcohol will be permitted at the event other than at the MWR Beer and Spirit booth where beer and spirits will be available for purchase.

Will there be food options at the event?
Yes. A variety of food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Credit or Debit cards only.
 

Prohibited Items

  • Large Ice Chests and Coolers
  • Pets of any kind
  • No containers of any kind are allowed.
  • All weapons (regardless of permit), firearms, knives, replica or toy weapons, clubs, stun guns, or anything that ejects a projectile
  • Mace, Pepper Spray, spray cans or other defensive spray or chemicals
  • Fireworks or Explosives of any kind
  • Flammable Liquids
  • Cannabis/Marijuana/illegal drugs and/or paraphernalia
  • Skateboards/bicycles/hover boards
  • Gang related clothing/accessories
  • Laser Pointers
  • Drones/Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
  • Pop-Up Tents
  • Large backpacks or other large bags, oversized camera bags, or large purses larger than 7 inches by 10 inches. Special consideration will be given to diaper bags, strollers etc. that will accompany small children.
